Carl's Jr @ Midvalley Megamall

Carl's Jr was a big time when it first opened it's doors in 2007. I remember being one of those who flocked into it within days of opening to sink my mouth into their legendary juicy burgers.

Nevermind that it was close to RM20 or in some cases RM20++ a set, a burger, a soft drink and fries, which can buy you almost 4 RM5.95 value meals in McDonalds. Worse still, you share another portion of chilli fries and suddenly you are thinking why am i spending close to RM20-25 on a fast food meal.

Was this fine dining fast food?

In some ways i remember their classic burgers to be quite awesome, why, i cannot really say. Although soon enough, the accountant in me woke me up and i have avoided it ever since especially with the amount of burgers everywhere.

Anyways, what is there not to like about igniting an old flame once in awhile (not as in finding your ex-girlfriends and boyfriends for a fling though).

I doubt the decor has been changed since it opened.

Fast food that is made to order, they probably can't afford the wastage if they started to mass-produce RM15-20 burgers unless they have lunch time queues in McDonalds.

While their normal cheeseburger was the Wife said, bigger and well tasted ok, i had a big problem with their Chilli Cheeseburger.

The first time around, i spotted a big black spot on the bread, mould or dirt, i gave them a piece of my mind and they agreed to give me another one.

While the second one looked alright, i suspected those buggers were playing me as my chilli tasted like mustard and the whole burger tasted close to being vomit. I am one who do not usually waste food and man, i tell you it was a struggle to take bites of it.

If you really want to eat Carl's Jr, avoid this burger like the plague. I am seriously very disappointed as i loved their chilli fries.

Probably one of the worst investment i have made in my life, to spend something like RM15 on the burger.

Located on the top floor of Mid Valley Megamall, next to the cinemas.

Verdict: Seriously it doesn't even deserve a star. Total rubbish.

(Mold?? And vomit-y taste?? Terrible!)

Seriously, I always think twice before I step in to the shop. I don't think a burger can worth that amount and taste nothing fancy but just BIG and really filling.

ya, burger king definitely seems like a more prudent investment!
though i like how this particular branch is open till really late, so u can still grab a bite after a movie at nite...

Eugh. I quite agree. I made the mistake of going to Carl's Jr recently and felt quite ill after the meal. Staying far far away from this.

LOL. Drats. Kinda liked their Portobello Mushroom Burger though, but it must been ages since I had that.

Geez...a waste of money indeed! And I nearly wanted to eat that for lunch earlier. Good thing I didn't.

Totally agreed that it's rubbish. The first time I tried, it was totally delicious. Second time around I wished I went to Burger King instead. Burger King served much better burgers than this place.
