100°C Steamboat, Teppanyaki & BBQ Restaurant @ Off Jalan Kuchai Lama

Gone are the olden days of eating steamboat in a non-airconditioned place, pots powered by gas tanks under the table.

Steamboat sessions would take hours because it took time for the soup to boil, the food to cook and lots of chit chatting in between over beer.

Nowadays?

Its about air-con so the kids wont throw a tantrum, separate pots (so its more hygienic), different soups (for personal preference) and packaging (to lure the young ones).

100 degrees Steamboat?

Personal pots of any soup you like? herbal, the usual "cheng tong", tom yum and even bak kut teh!

Funky amounts of sauce like peanut sauce, hoi sin sauce, teriyaki sauce, ginger sauce and many more

Only the platter still looks like the good old steamboat days.

Address and contact details:

No. 3 & 5, Ground Floor, Dynasti Central, Jalan Kuchai Maju 18,
Off Jalan Kuchai Lama,
58200 Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03-79800899

Verdict: 3 stars out of 5 stars. Eat at the comfort of an airconditioned place, personal pots but it lacked the soul that the good old steamboat places possess.

BKT steamboat? Hmmm... sounds interesting. :)

Not sure about the satay sauce tho... My fave is still the spicy/sour type chili sauces like the one at Coca. :) :)
