Jeanette's @ Ao Nang, Krabi

In the couple of days in Krabi, i can dare say i saw a 50/50 mix of Thais and tourists. In the resort we stayed, it was basically the guests versus the staff (even than, the GM was British).

When we wondered at Ao Nang, basically the only piece of civilisation where it houses restaurants, mini marts, souvenir shops, hotels, massage places and wait for it, even Starbucks!, there were barely any Thais around. Restaurants were serving Thai food with another Swedish/Greek/Chinese/Western Cuisine.

A case of know it all or lets make all of you happy?

So after much looking around, we settle at Jeanette's.

Serving Thai and Swedish food, we of course zoomed in on Thai and Thai only.

Maybe it was the non-existent hopes that we will get good Thai food but the experience turned out pretty good. I didn't ask why, but the whole row of restaurants were giving out 20% discount on meals too (must be the rainy season).

Thai Beer to start it off.

BBQ Squid that was well cooked but abit salty.

A decent green curry beef with rice.

Phad Thai with Prawns. Awesome. One of my many rounds of these noodles to satisfy a very bad craving.

Address and contact details

245/8 Moo 2, Ao Nang | Amphur Muang, Krabi 81000, Thailand

Verdict: 3.5 out of 5. A more than decent place to eat Thai food at.

Wondering around the street, I spotted a lady making what seemed to be their Thai Roti Canai. Instead of a piece of dough stretched out, there was no fancy movement from her because the dough was a rather small piece.

Some bananas and choc sauce on it, for 30 baht, it made for a very good dessert!

Along the road side of Ao Nang.

I loved Krabi, but after staying for 5 days, I was dying to get out and onto the dirty streets of BKK!! It's hardly the best spot to eat in Thailand but Ao Leuk made all the mediocre meals worthwhile!
