My turn to miss my Chee Cheong Fun

I cant believe it has already been a good two weeks since the escapade to Penang.

Amongst the many things we put into our mouths; chee cheong fun is the one that i really want to go back to get some more.

Is it the simplicity in the rice flour roll or is it the aromatic and unforgiving prawn paste ("heh koh")?

Or is it because we are so sick of complex food that requires hours of preparing, simmering, boiling and etc that we want something that we can dig into within a matter of minutes (minus the queueing time of course)

Or the simple reason that it is abundant everywhere for a dirt cheap price of less than RM3 and available day and night.

Heavily recommended, the Macalister Lane Chee Cheong Fun, details as per the name card. So heavenly.

One thing is for sure, Penang Chee Cheong Fun is not abundant in Kuala Lumpur so i guess i will just have to make myself happy with the sweet sauce version.

I also don't really fancy CCF with heh koh - i think heh koh shd just go with asam laksa or rojak, lol! There's a very popular stall selling this Pg-version CCF in O&S coffeeshop in Paramount Gdn, PJ.

I don't really like heh koh too...hahaha....but I know of another nice CCF in Penang; in fact it is the most famous on the island, you should try it the next time you are here :)
Maybe I should do a post and show you the directions :D

it's the pungent prawn paste that hits the nose and then the taste buds that makes me a fan :p. and then slurping down the smooth CCF with lots of prawn paste clinging to it. you can get your dose in PJ too.. O&S at seapark..
