I suppose it is the impromptu visits or one just want to have peace and enjoy the food without worrying whether the shot is clear enough.
So when i finally planned a visit to the Daily Grind, i made sure my camera went along with me.
Burgers are their forte and i loved some of the surprising Burgers of the Month they come up with i.e. the first review, the triple stack hamburger.
We started off with Corn Cakes (RM16) . Creamy filling with a few niblets of corn. Would have appreciated a warmer core to show that it was freshly deep fried but i suppose the Chef was being considerate and allowed it to rest before having it served.
I suppose i wasn't thinking straight when i ordered the Blue Cheese Burger (RM40) and i would advise you to only order this if you are not on a date. The cheese is abundant and pungent to say the least. The sweet apple compote neutralises it with the walnuts providing the crunch. Freshly home made fries and a salad completed the meal that lasted me a grand 8 hours before i could say, come lets eat dinner.
Burger of the month August is a styled up Roti John. Meat loaf with the usual condiments in a hotdog bun. Very creative how mamakfare turned fancy.
The reason why i REALLY wanted to come, the peanut butter banana pie (RM16). Oh so gorgeous that i can munch on this all day long, only without the burger to start with. I can't even find words to describe the perfect match in heaven.
A latte to finish off the meal.Thank the lucky stars we decided to lunch in Bangsar last Saturday, away from the chaotic city jam evident from miles away.
Address:
Bangsar Village 1
Rating: 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. Pity i can't afford RM50 burgers (plus service charges and drinks) all the time.

Peanut butter n banana pie.... :D
(Love it! But admittedly it's probably a bit too rich to eat every day)
ya, nowadays the cakes here seem a lot better than the burgers!

j: haha u mean too fattening..
my..RM50. better stick to me roadside burgers ;p
For whatever reasons I gravitate towards meat patties covered with cheese. This one wins hands down with melted cheese enveloping it.
OMG, the peanut butter pie is STUNNING! And I don't even have much of a sweet tooth! I'll skip the burgers and just go crazy with the dessert.
blue cheese beef burger. sounds inviting, though some may find it repulsive.
