Where people ask, what noodle you want? We only got kuey teow. I mean what else do you expect?
A place where noodles are fried with duck egg so you can die faster but live a fuller experience when digging into that plate of noodles.
Alas i only had a short trip to the land of CKT and filled up 2 meals.
Oh how i wish we can get duck egg and big fat prawns in our CKT (only if it is nicely fried, of course).

CKT @ Ah Leng, Kafe Khoon Hiang, Jalan Dato Kramat, opposite ex Federal cinemaUnfortunately, this one was quite a disappointment. The noodles were slightly on the wet side, tasted tomato sauce in there with the upside of plenty of ingredients i.e. duck egg, mantis prawns, prawns, etc. Not to mention that i had to part a good RM9.50 for the above plate.

omg. that looks really good.. the prawns are just so huge. and its 1st time i'm seeing mantis prawns in char kuey tiao.. although the price is a bit on the hefty side.
Penang CKT best served with Lap Cheong but not sure if there is any on your plate there. And where's the banana leaves? Lost the whole culture already .. lolx

Haha..CKT with duck egg, bloooody red liquid oozing cockles, lap cheong, crunchy beansprouts and mantis prawns is the bomb!

Try the one in Batu Lancang market (open till evening). The corner one with duck eggs. That's my favourite version!
Else.. go to Macalister Road..one of the old shop (forgot the name). They only have 2 stalls - CKT & Hokien Mee.. both are great - sold by old folks. So, quality guaranteed! Hehe..
Owh...I so miss Penang!!!
