My Elephant (2nd Visit) @ Section 17, Petaling Jaya

We often blog about a place, leave it in the archives for people to refer to and that is that.

Sometimes, a place is awesome when we blog about it and stay the same whilst some wither like the autumn leaves.

So when my friend mentioned that My Elephant was not up to par like their reputation and the timing was right, we went to visit them.

Still in the small outlet that can barely seat 40 pax, on a weekday night (both ocassions), it was crowded at 8pm.

How was the food then?

I am happy to say that i still love their food.

Whether it was the vegetables, the fish cakes, the fish, the curries or the rice, everything seemed like the flavours stored in my mind after our first visit a long while ago.

Phew, at least i still know where i can get a decent green curry when the crave starts.

i really should return here. only been here once, and i never managed to try their salt-baked fish and avocado duck curry.
but there's not much competition for thai restaurants in this area, rite? closest i can think of would be kinnaree at jaya one.

I like their green curry best! Haven't tried the avocado duck curry. My boss said it's good but my colleague said otherwise. I guess I have to go and try it for myself! =)

However, if one wants some authentic Thai food ... I still miss the town of Sriracha, near Pattaya, and its Pad Thai (35 Baht) and street Pad Ka Prao with Kai Dao (30 Baht). Now, THAT's MAGIC!!
