Back to Basics: Sekeping Serendah

If there is anything that as humans dont realise, it is the over-dependence on technology and the modern lifestyle. Air-cons, TVs, Computers, Phone lines and even hot water are just some of the things that have been gelled to our everyday lives as necessities.

Staring at the glass house, i suddenly realise that we have been too absorbed into all those necessities (or luxury you would so claim) and that it is about time to detox from the city life, not just food.

Life with minimum luxury, a fan, fridge, kettle, sofa and bed.

So quiet, serene and peaceful.

More pictures soon.

my friend used to stay here but I never step my feet to this little town. are you from here?? If yes, then all of us are considered kampung boy once :)
I could live with these minimum luxuries.. coz I'd been through this phase before... but now even in small town, ppl have already upgraded to air-conds, water heater, dual-door fridge, designer sofa..
Gone were the days where we took a morning bath using water from the pail in such a cold morning weather, sitting on rattan made sofa frame with self-made cushion where our grandma or parents would saw their own covers and slip them on, playing hide-and-seek with neighbours' kids, all those childhood games such as biji getah, spider fighting, etc... and many more... Ah! What a nice childhood memories...
Don't you think???

fbb: food there was unfortunately sparse..i was happily gambling the hrs away to dawn..couldnt even wake up early enough to gather food..not to mention..foie gras!

leo: it was kinda nice just enjoying peace i suppose..

here in Ipoh is DARN hot!!!
i've to rely on the air cond even though it rained last night.

ahem. of course, if our weather's 4 seasons, or anything like northern Thai/Vietnam, then ok lah.. no fans also nvm. =P

that particular place in serendah is indeed delightfully tranquil.. :D I personally love it, a hidden secret of the klang valley.

It's like 10 degrees out here in Istanbul, and its gloomy and rainy. Hopefully things will look up soon, and I'd be able to go out and explore the sights, smells and sounds.

Greets from the W Istanbul.. I have a feeling you would love this particular hotel.
