Breakfast @ La Bodega, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

I was clearing my back log of photos when i realise i had none left for display, has my camera really been seating inside the bag for so long? Or have i been too hard-working. Seems like it was the first option.

Now while going through pages of pictures that looks vaguely familiar, i realised i got two unpublished photos!

La Bodega, the chill out place in Bangsar, the place where you play board games and drink Sangria, laughing louder and louder has opened another outlet in Pavilion. I reckon this concept seems to be the same, alfresco and relaxed. So i find myself funnily wondering the place at 10 on a sunday morning, finding breakfast before going to Starhill for the watch exhibition. (No, i did not buy a watch because the cheapest around were at the very least high 5 figures if not 6 figures).

Breakfast was hearty and normal i guess. Then again, its been awhile since i had cold baked beans and poached eggs since my college days. Now you wonder why i paid almost RM20 to get back the old feeling right? Those were the days after breakfast, you go back to your room and doze off again till lunch on a weekday.

The many sausages seemed abit uncreative especially these were definitely not gourmet but rather supermarket quality. Somehow i feel the Bangsar outlet gave me a better deal, i dont know, you tell me?

Address and contact details:

Lot C3.06.00 Level 3, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Verdict: 3 stars out of 5 stars. How often do i find myself wondering out there anyways? Not very, so i guess it will be another while when i drop by, if i do that is.

The Bangsar place has the same substandard sausages. Definitely not worth the price paid.

I like those poached eggs. They are so cute! I think a holder must have been used to make these poached eggs. I guess. I suspect. :P

Sausages tasted like those in the supermarket? Hmm... Guess we won't give this breakfast plate a try. Haven't been to La Bodega though, gonna visit it some time soon!

undoubtly hearty, but i do find, taste wise, rather average..totally agree that the sausages are supermarket Q.hahaha..and bread is a tad hard..

why can't they make a good old-fashion mushroom omelette?

Hilton card not enough, you still need a second person to enjoy the dinner with. :P

but this kind of solid dry food calls for wine women & song so that might be the missing thing , though those rock solid brown slippery longs and white softy "cakes" look hearty alright !

i go to the Bangsar one with friends sometimes, just went a few weeks ago with Tev. The breakfast is just so so, I found the mushrooms a lil bit too oily (my favourite part of the breakfast other than the eggs) but the service was excellent.

Find me another place that serves similar breakfast better and I'll be a fan immediately! It really does remind me of the lazy mornings back in Sydney when we'd go and have breakfast at these tiny cafes and sit for hours with our coffees! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

any sausage that doesnt contain the hallowed khinzir is substandard. i think some things are just meant to be. but ya, the sausages are lousy even in bangsar. these days, i just order side orders of the two poached eggs, (they do it very well i have to say), and mushrooms. none of that beef bacon or chicken ham or chicken sausage. comes to RM11 for that combo.

that reminds me, i should host a champagne breakfast soon ya.
