Now the place is really like any normal chinese restaurant..red cloth tables, air conditioned, the familiar chairs and the tiny tanks of fish..So nothing outstanding about this place..
Complimentary soup..well if you dont get any homecooked soup from your mom, this is about as good as it can get for free..
Starting off with a shiny plate of stir fried kai lan.. Crunchy stalks and smooth leaves, if you ever ask me to order the vegetable, its normally this..because my mom doesnt cook it..
The pork ribs with an apple sauce.. If my memory serves me right, the ribs were pretty succulent and were half fat and half meat..a pretty combo with the simple garnish..
Then came a big big Pak Soo Kong (A cat fish alike monster)..The meat was rather on the flat side but still very fleshy and "bouncy", if i may use this word..My vocabulary seems to be abit flat as well nowadays..Time to find a dictionary meant for food..thesaurus might be a good idea..
Then came an Indonesian Trio Seafood Claypot.. My dad asked how come not Malaysian? She smiled and I scolded my dad for being abit too sarcastic.. Although he hasnt seem me at my worst.. What came out was a mixture of squid, tiny prawns and cuttlefish..I remembered the dish being overpriced but the sauce was definitely new and had a slight kick in terms of spicyness..
Rounding it off with a complimentary bowl of Grape Jelly..No comments really..Something to wash it down with after a nice hearty meal..A decent rating of 7.2-7.3 out of 10. Its in the Yu Lek area and i shall attempt to direct you there with my awful English.. At the traffic light, whereby if you go straight and head towards the Yu Lek Market (all the Chee Cheong Fun stalls), you turn right instead.. Abit down the road, theres a fork --> Keep to the right and straight down a bit more..the restaurant is on your left..After dinner, give Jason a call and disturb him..HAHAHA...I dont think the place should be that crowded due to Unique Fisherman at the opposite end, giving them some fierce competition..
Hopefully i can get rid of all these outdated reviews and show off my, if you must know..Canon EOS 400D.. I want to play with my baby..but im at work..sigh..

jackson: packed ar?..but its a very big restaurant..so should be able to handle the crowd..
so many complimentary stuffs...not bad huh. I like eateries that offer free things :p
thanks for the write up. always curious on wat they have to offer. i think it's easier to access this place via desa aman side. pass by the hawker centre (kelana seafood) then just go straight and can see the flats already
xlb: hahah fall for all the dirty tricks eh??
babe_kl: no worries..yeap..thats another way to go also..

HEY I stay somewhere there too!!! Passed this place like a zillion times, and never ceased to wonder why it's always SO packed. was ur dinner expensive? don dare to step in ahahaha.
anyway, if u drive further in, there's this teochew porridge restaurant (used to be by the road side there), red signboard; they serve realllly good pork intestine.. if ur a fan! oh and the kelana jaya seafood place has this THAI shop, really nice.. famous for their steamed fish, and price is very reasonable too.
there's a really nice thai food place nearby too.. serves the best tom yam i've ever tasted. :D
kbcg: haha you call me too!..
jane: not expensive at all, contrary very cheap..the fish was a mere 40 bucks..swimming in the tank before it was served.. thanks for the tips..i seldom go nearby the area..
nice of u to drop by..hope to see u around..
joe,
Pork ribs with apple sauce? That's kinda new to me. Is it something like "gu lou yuk"?
Wahlao! No need tempt me with your Canon EOS400D gua? hahaha!
This place is in Desa Aman, not Yulek (Taman Cheras) la. The fork junction that you've mentioned is the "border" of Yulek and Desa Aman. I think the name of the road is Jln Desa Aman 2. Been eating there since eons ago.
tankiasu: haha ok lar..bordering thus the mistake..hahah desa aman it is..
