We plundered @ Pudu Wai Sik Kai followed by Bijan

Strangely enough its already Wednesday but i have only spied one person who has blogged about this so far and that is you Paprika, and by the way i cant remember your real name..its as if you are known to me as Paprika or as PP husband will said "Neh, Ravenous Rabbit ar.."

So what turned out to be a first of its kind, a food crawl also became a celebration for Jackson to have finally found his four lovely wives..anymore and he has to create his own religion to allow such a concept..I have realised that the floggers whether its just a few of them, half the bunch or the full monty have become a part of my life.. every morning as i log onto to their blogs, i can imagine them narrate what they are saying , typing it away all done and giggling as they try to gather their thoughts.. It was definitely another fun filled night in Pudu..

The crawl started from Pudu Sek Yuen..me being greedy and undecided went to start my crawl at Ninja Jones before dropping by to see a small little plate of what was the infamous Pat Poh Duck..as i sat longer, i realise that it was the last dish!

The remnants of the Pat Poh Ngap

So off we went to Pudu Wai Sik Kai where you will experience wonders if your leftover spare change..

We reached, start pillaging people!

Better then KFC by miles i reckon..

Curry Chee Cheong Fun with pig skin for (RM2.40) which is what less then USD 1? and seriously that wouldnt even pay for your parking for an hour in a shopping complex..The sauce was so good, i heard slurpping on the other hand..

Cockles or "Si Ham" with an unknown price because it was sponsored by Jackson for his binis.. I was chicken and i started to dip it in my porridge to "cook" it..polluting my porridge of course..duh..

The fried raddish cake that was dark but one of the hidden gems of the nite..sponsored by someone..haha..

The yam cake that i never got to touch..

You get strange items like deep fried chicken feet..This is getting fun!

Being gluttons, dessert was mentioned..and since we had connections with someone from Bijan..we sped off and braved the jam to get to sample the arch nemesis of JHP Chocolate Durian..the Durian Cheesecake with a chocolate sponge base..

Obviously since that was the special..i couldnt even get my hands on it for a proper picture..but instead i got hold of this..an item that was so goody that i refuse to remember the name but used my brain cells to remember the taste..

From 12 o clock we had the teh tarik with spice ice cream.going left..durian cheesecake..pandan caramel..durian icecream..and cendol with coconut ice cream..

The hot weather didnt permit us to have our ice cream as they melt under all the camera flashing and soon we were drinking it and not eating it..the teh tarik ice cream was abit too strong for my palates..the durian 1 was great..the bandung 1 was also unique..the cendol was abit too creamy and turned out i could only taste a bland pandan caramel as my tongue was intoxicated from all the strong contrasting flavours..but the durian cheesecake? i m fighting the jam any day just for a slice..hmmm..

So the end of the plunder ends here..

With the singing of the prancing horse using its quad exhaust pipes..sigh..

Great company, great food, great times just keeps you going on..

ooooo bijan is super good i reckon. we entertain a lot of gwai lou's there. the italian CEO likes it alot there..

but honestly i feel its abit too costly.

you should try tupai tupai for lunch, super duper ikan bakar i tell u.. it's located at the old wisma putra near the MAA building at Jalan Dewan Bahasa.

hmmm, i love the teh tarik ice cream in bijan. i simply must try their durian cheesecake. i'm confused now though, coz another friend of mine was raving about their chocolate durian cake...is it the one and the same, or two different types of cake?

I have never had curry CCF.

LL has a red mustang?

fbb - chocolate durian and durian cheesecake are 2 different items. We didn't get to try choc durian that day as it was sold out. Durian cheesecake was excellent - light, fluffy and not too overpowering of a durian taste. The ice creams were also great.

Ah - LL's red car was great to sit in. we had to boot out that blonde in the front though.

i have good taste? umm ahhahaha thanks?

i think taste is a personal thing.. but as u might have figured out, i'm not a big fan of this confusion/fusion movement. i like it authentic and simple. =)

in essence, chinese food should taste like chinese food and vice versa.

i enjoy reading your blog, keep up the good work. =) heading to redang tomorrow with a kickass cam, expect some nice pics up soon =)

there's a dessert stall at wai sik kai which is operated by my ex-schoolmate's grandmother and aunty.. it's been there ages already.. and there's a 'ham yuk chung' stall also which is quite nice :)

btw, is that LL's ferrari?? *drooling*

Thanks for coming by my blog Joe - I really enjoyed reading some of your PMS entries :) Ya next time I come back I expect someone to pick me up for a food crawl in that ferrari, right? Deep fried chicken legs hahaha - my mother made my english husband eat chicken feet the first time she met him to test him if he is open minded enough to marry a malaysian girl! Lucky he passed lah!

"Joe" who is constantly craving said...

leo: agreed although i dont mind getting my tongue teased with food i dont exactly understand..looking forward to those pics..

nicole: if u realised..its actually mine..haha its a f430 btw..in a beautiful shade of red..

msiagirl: no problems..although im afraid my ferrari might attract abit too much attention in pudu..perhaps a honda city might blend better in the crowds.. hahah ur husband is cool man..

How come you let your readers eat those remnants? How many "treasures" of the duck were left?

Deep-fried chicken feet??? :O ...Think those braised ones are still da best!

"Joe" who is constantly craving said...

jun: i dunno how to differentiate..its 2 cakes in 2 diff worlds and i dont want to take any sides..its the jhp 1 for choc cravings and bijan 1 for cheese cravings..

wmw: a toast to that!

tigerfish: i welcomed those remnants haha as i was the last to come..i doubt any treasures..
