Restaurant Fola @ Taman Billion

I swear that after this post, i should have some classic favourite places..why am so daring? because i just had the meal doink..So what have i got today?..Sigh this place is once again well encouraging but honestly not in the game..We were frantically finding for a place to eat on Mothers Day..we had a nice meal in Gohtong Jaya which was on me..yes i know its a miracle and i failed to buy 4D..damnit..so we were really ready to go anywhere..first, we headed towards Unique Fisherman which was full to the brim just like the fishes in the tanks..so we headed out towards Taman Billion because why not? A cheap meal of steak and chicken chops cant be that bad? Little did i know my dad cravings for rice got the better of him..and spotted this chinese restaurant which was basically squeezed in between two western cuisine outlets..and he virtually ran inside before i got utter a single word of disapproval..oh well he pays so i got to shutup..

After all the rushing here and there..it was not over..there were 2 tables seated..and they were already eating away..i know there was also a big order for take away.. After waiting and waiting..and glaring at my dad with the 'i told you to just eat next door' look..it was almost 45 minutes till the first dish came..omg..based on that i would have swear that i wont drop by again..or would i not?

Heung Hau Tau Fu..which is basically deep fried tau fu mixed with fish paste served with a mayo dressing..the tau fu was actually quite good..especially when you already have a preperception that everything gonna be shit because you waited 45 minutes..and you could see that they was only 1 chef and 2 helpers..

If there was anything that would make me come back..this would actually be the one..this Lai Yau Kam Foong aka Butter style was suprisingly very nice..the sauce was not over powering..although i prefer slightly and i really mean slightly more flavour..the sauce did its job in complimenting and not taking over the fish..well done..

This dish unfortunately was very ordinary..marmite ribs..the one i had in Jalan Peel..refer to my one of my older reviews was way better...err... no comments

The claypot fish head..unlike the one i had in Ah Lit (another old review) this was less creamy but nevertheless had all the essential ingredients..another pleasant dish..

Shiong Tong Yun Choy with Pei Dan..This was served in a claypot..again the soup was full of flavour...there was plenty of garlic pieces and also pei dan..

The best part is... all 5 dishes cost only RM 66 only..bear in mind two fish dishes..and there was a whole fish there.. flavour wise there was seriously no big flaws..the waiters were actually attentive with your tea and ice..but alas..why did they had to make me wait 45 minutes when i was starving beyond imagination!..Therefore if you do the maths..the food was almost an 7.7 out of 10..but a penalty of 1 for making me wait..unless you dont mind of course..this totals a 6.7 out of 10 again..but the thing is i feel that the food was way better then Chakri Palace..just that i didnt had to wait so long..does it mean this deserves a better score? Shit i am damn confused la..

Ok..end of food review..

I am actually dying to do an attention seeking post..but havent got the thing to spill it all out..and i think for once in this humble blog history..i had a single food post a day for almost a week running!..Woo hoo!..And another anniversary coming up..my 5000th visit is almost coming soon!..although i must admit i probably contribute almost 10% by now hahaha...
