Specialising in southern indian food, particularly in this case banana rice..but because it was so damn hot..i opted for some chapati on a banana leave..they say by eating from the banana leave, it is suppose to enhance the flavours that is on the leave..and at the same time easier for those who use their hands..well not me..because half of the time i could bearly cut my chapati to bite sizes without tearing the banana leave with my spoon and fork..oh well...
Pictures that i fail to take was of the numbing mutton curry and also a nice big piece of fried chicken..i knew i wasnt full..but my tongue was too burnt although i still couldnt resist that oily treasure..haha..total damage was RM 19..definitely not cheap..better off eating banana rice and those veges above..situated in Brickfields..at the start of Jalan Sambanthan..this is the area of the Indians..not in a racist way..but you feel if you have stepped into Bollywood with the unforgettable fragant smell of god know wat...the pigeons that you see in the Bolly wood movies and of course who cant forget all the indian dancing songs..Well they you go..another interesting lunch review..and because it stung my tongue and my wallet..despite the uniqueness..this place at max..i will give you a 6.6 out of 10..although if you are into chillis..i reckon a 7.5 out of 10 is probably it..

I never try Indian dishes before, what do you suggest I try for a starter? Nothing spicy!
wow, such detailed plans! Must have been like organising a big dinner party - who should drive, what time we should leave and etc.
indian n non spicy..u be better off trying northern indian cuisine..try somethin like butter chicken which is not spicy..and korma which is at the slightest..normally higher end restaurants can usually adjust their spicyness..vindaloo and masala..are the hot 1s..
i couldnt hav imagined planning for dinner..prob would hav needed to start after lunch..n worse of all it was for no more then 11 people..
I did say u were bored. See? prayers answered. Half morning fully occupied!
Wah...is it really that spicy or you can't take spicy food? The Eggs looks yummy, the same goes for chicken tikka. I don't like chapati, too flourish and flat. Yums...you can give me paper thosai, anytime anyday.
Butter chicken sounds nice... I need to check out the local indian restaurant...

I'm a regular to the Sri Paandi @ Section 11. Loves it, I do. Usually order thosai masala and teh masala, spicy and filling.
Service is usually quite fast too, no slumbering waiters here. :)
